1. About us & definitions
"TheWealthBuddy", "we", "us" or "our" refers to the sole-proprietorship business operated by CA Harsh Jain, having its principal place of business in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India, owning and operating the website thewealthbuddy.com and the products listed below.
"You" or "User" means the natural person or legal entity (business, firm, HUF, company, LLP, trust) that registers for an account or uses any of our services.
"Services" means BillBuddy, MF AI, the Salary Module, the TDS Return module, any associated APIs, dashboards, exports, advisory content, and any future products we offer through this website or via direct subscription.
"Subscription" means a paid plan giving you access to one or more Services for a defined billing cycle.
By creating an account, clicking "I agree", paying for any plan, or using the Services in any manner, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms and the linked Privacy Policy and Refund & Cancellation Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
2. The services we provide
2.1 BillBuddy
BillBuddy is a software tool that helps Chartered Accountants and businesses automate data entry into TallyPrime. It performs OCR/AI-assisted extraction of invoices, salary inputs and bank statements, reconciles bank ledgers, and generates Tally-compatible XML and Excel exports. BillBuddy is a productivity tool — final review, posting, and accuracy of accounting records remains the responsibility of the User and their accounting professional.
2.2 MF AI
MF AI is a software tool that lets users upload or sync their mutual fund holdings (e.g. CAS / Wealth Elite exports) and produces analytical views — XIRR, asset allocation, scheme overlap, category exposure, benchmark comparison, and similar reports. MF AI is a portfolio analytics tool. See Section 3 for the regulatory boundary.
2.3 Salary & TDS modules
The Salary module helps prepare salary entries for Tally. The TDS module assists with the preparation of Form 26Q-style return data. Both are computational aids — statutory filings remain the User's responsibility.
3. Important: MF AI & mutual fund disclaimer
Read this section carefully. It defines what MF AI and TheWealthBuddy are — and what we are not.
- Not investment advice. MF AI outputs are computational and informational only. They do not constitute "investment advice" within the meaning of the SEBI (Investment Advisers) Regulations, 2013, nor are they a recommendation, solicitation or offer to buy or sell any security or scheme.
- Not a SEBI Registered Investment Adviser. TheWealthBuddy and CA Harsh Jain are not registered as a SEBI Investment Adviser (RIA) or a Research Analyst. We do not offer personalised investment advisory services for a fee through this Service.
- Mutual Fund Distributor (MFD). CA Harsh Jain is registered with AMFI as a Mutual Fund Distributor (ARN to be displayed on the relevant onboarding page). The MFD activity earns commission paid by Asset Management Companies (AMCs) on schemes you choose to invest in through us — it is separate from any Subscription fee you pay for software access to BillBuddy or MF AI.
- Standard market-risk warning. Mutual fund investments are subject to market risks. Read all scheme-related documents — including the Scheme Information Document (SID) and Key Information Memorandum (KIM) — carefully before investing. Past performance shown in MF AI reports is not indicative of future returns.
- Educational content. Any content, articles, social-media posts, webinars or videos published by TheWealthBuddy (including on Instagram @thewealthbuddy) are for general education and awareness only, are not tailored to your circumstances, and must not be construed as personalised investment, tax, legal or accounting advice.
- Your responsibility. All investment decisions are taken solely by you, based on your own assessment of your financial situation, risk appetite and objectives. You are encouraged to consult a SEBI-registered Investment Adviser before acting on any analytics produced by MF AI.
4. Eligibility & account
To use the paid Services, you must be at least 18 years old and legally competent to enter into a contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872. If you are using the Services on behalf of an entity, you represent that you are authorised to bind that entity to these Terms.
You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information during registration and to keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at caharshjain22@gmail.com of any unauthorised access.
5. Subscription, billing & auto-renewal
5.1 Plans & pricing
The plans and prices currently offered are listed on our Pricing page. We reserve the right to change plan structures, limits and prices, with at least 15 days' prior notice for active subscribers. All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive or exclusive of GST as indicated at checkout.
5.2 Billing cycle
Most plans bill on a 2-month cycle (e.g. Individual at ₹999 / 2 months, Professional at ₹2,499 / 2 months). Master / custom plans are billed as agreed in writing.
5.3 Auto-renewal
Where you set up an e-mandate, UPI AutoPay or card-on-file mandate via our payment gateway, your Subscription will automatically renew at the end of each cycle by debiting your selected payment instrument. We will send a pre-debit notification at least 24 hours before the debit, in accordance with applicable Reserve Bank of India (RBI) guidelines.
5.4 Cancellation
You may cancel auto-renewal at any time from your account dashboard or by emailing us. Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not, by itself, entitle you to a refund of the current cycle. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for refund eligibility.
5.5 Failed payments
If a renewal debit fails, we may attempt the debit again, send you reminders, downgrade your account to read-only, and ultimately suspend access until payment is received.
5.6 Taxes
You are responsible for any GST, TDS or other taxes applicable to your purchase, except those expressly included in the displayed price. We will issue tax invoices in compliance with the CGST/SGST Acts.
6. Payment processing (Cashfree)
Payments on TheWealthBuddy are processed by Cashfree Payments India Private Limited, an RBI-authorised payment aggregator. We do not store your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN or net-banking credentials on our servers. Tokenised references and last-4 digits may be retained by the gateway for the limited purpose of recurring debits and dispute handling.
By initiating a payment, you also agree to Cashfree's terms of service. We are not liable for any act or omission of the gateway, but we will reasonably assist you in any payment dispute.
7. Free trial
We offer a 14-day free trial of BillBuddy with limited usage caps. Trial accounts may be rate-limited, watermarked, or restricted from certain features. We may modify or end the free trial offer at any time. No payment instrument is required to start a trial unless explicitly stated.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, scrape or attempt to derive the source code of the Services;
- Resell, sublicense, or share your account credentials with any third party not covered by your plan;
- Upload data you have no legal right to process — including third-party financial data without consent;
- Upload viruses, malware, or content that violates any law of India;
- Use the Services to provide regulated investment advisory, broking, or any other licensed financial activity for which you do not hold the required SEBI / RBI / IRDAI / AMFI licence;
- Use automated means to overload our infrastructure or circumvent usage limits.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section without prior notice.
9. Your data & ownership
You retain ownership of all data you upload — Tally exports, invoices, bank statements, mutual-fund CAS files, salary registers, etc. ("Customer Data"). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, transmit, process and analyse Customer Data solely to provide and improve the Services.
We do not sell Customer Data. We do not share Customer Data with third-party advertisers. Sub-processors used to deliver the Service are listed in our Privacy Policy.
Aggregated, de-identified usage statistics that cannot reasonably be linked back to you may be used to improve our products, train internal models, and report benchmarks.
10. Third-party processors
The Services rely on third parties including, without limitation: Cashfree (payments), Cloudflare (hosting/edge), large-language-model and OCR providers (extraction), and email/WhatsApp providers (notifications). Their availability, terms and security practices are outside our direct control. Where we materially change a sub-processor that handles Customer Data, we will update the Privacy Policy.
11. Intellectual property
The Services, the TheWealthBuddy and BillBuddy brands, logos, dashboards, code, prompts, templates, and documentation are the intellectual property of CA Harsh Jain / TheWealthBuddy or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, redistribute or create derivative works of the Services except as expressly permitted by these Terms. Any feedback you provide may be used by us without obligation.
12. Warranty disclaimer
The Services are provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that:
- The Services will be error-free, uninterrupted or 100% accurate;
- OCR / AI extraction will be free of misclassification — outputs must be reviewed by the User;
- MF AI analytics will produce profitable investment outcomes;
- Tally exports will integrate without further configuration in every Tally version.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Services — whether in contract, tort or otherwise — is limited to the fees actually paid by you to us in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including loss of profit, business, data, goodwill, or investment returns.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless TheWealthBuddy, CA Harsh Jain and our personnel from any claim, loss, damage or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of (a) your breach of these Terms, (b) your unlawful use of the Services, or (c) any third-party claim that your Customer Data, when processed as instructed by you, infringes their rights.
15. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if (a) you breach these Terms, (b) any payment due is not received, (c) we reasonably believe your activity poses a security or legal risk, or (d) we cease offering a particular Service. On termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. We will, on written request made within 30 days of termination, provide you a one-time export of your Customer Data in a commercially reasonable format.
16. Force majeure
Neither party is liable for failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond reasonable control, including acts of God, war, riot, pandemic, internet/telecom outages, cyber-attacks, RBI / SEBI / GoI directives, or failures of upstream providers such as Cloudflare, AMC RTAs, banks, NPCI or AMFI.
17. Governing law & jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed under the laws of India. Subject to mandatory consumer-protection rules, the courts at Jaipur, Rajasthan have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Services.
18. Grievance redressal
In compliance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the Grievance Officer for TheWealthBuddy is:

For mutual-fund-related grievances on schemes purchased through us as an MFD, you may also approach the relevant AMC, the Registrar & Transfer Agent (CAMS / KFintech), AMFI, or SEBI's SCORES portal at scores.sebi.gov.in.
19. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email and/or an in-app banner at least 15 days before they take effect for active subscribers. Continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
