1. Free trial
Our 14-day BillBuddy free trial is, by design, free. No payment is taken at the start of the trial. If you do not upgrade by the end of the trial, your account moves to a read-only state. There is nothing to refund.
2. Cancelling a paid plan
You can cancel auto-renewal at any time:
- From your dashboard → Billing → Manage subscription → Cancel auto-renew; or
- By emailing caharshjain22@gmail.com from your registered email; or
- By WhatsApp at +91 97994 20844.
Cancellation stops the next renewal. Your existing access continues till the end of the cycle you have already paid for.
3. The 7-day refund window
If you change your mind shortly after paying, you can request a full refund within 7 calendar days of the charge, provided you have not consumed more than the following on that subscription:
- BillBuddy: 25 bills processed, 1 bank reconciliation, or 100 line-items — whichever comes first.
- MF AI: 2 portfolio analytics runs.
- Salary & TDS modules: 1 generated output (XML/Excel/PDF).
If you are within the window and the usage cap, we will refund 100% of the amount paid for that cycle. If you are within the 7 days but have crossed the usage cap, we may offer a pro-rata refund at our discretion.
4. After the 7-day window
Subscriptions are not refundable after the 7-day window for the cycle in progress. You can, however, cancel auto-renewal so that no future charges are made.
5. Exceptions where we will refund
We will refund (or provide credit, at your choice) regardless of the 7-day window in the following cases:
- Duplicate / accidental charge caused by a gateway or system error.
- Service unavailability — if a paid Service is materially unavailable for more than 72 continuous hours in a billing cycle (excluding scheduled maintenance and force-majeure events under our Terms), we will issue pro-rata credit.
- Pricing or feature misrepresentation — if you can show that the plan you bought materially differed from what was advertised at the time of purchase.
- Account never activated — payment received but, due to a verification failure or our error, your account was never activated.
6. Cases that will not be refunded
- Change of mind after substantial usage of the plan.
- Dissatisfaction with the analytical output of MF AI — analytics are computational tools, not advice, and outcomes depend on inputs.
- Mismatch between OCR/AI extraction and the ground truth where the User has not reviewed extractions before posting to Tally.
- Failure of integrations caused by changes in the User's Tally version, AMC RTA file format, bank statement format, or third-party APIs outside our control.
- Master / custom plans, where a separate written agreement governs refund eligibility.
- Mutual fund investment losses — these are not Subscription fees and are governed entirely by the relevant scheme documents and AMC.
7. How to request a refund
Email caharshjain22@gmail.com from your registered email with the subject line "Refund request – [your account email]". Include:
- Date and amount of payment;
- Cashfree order ID (visible on your invoice / payment receipt);
- Reason for the request.
We will acknowledge within 2 working days and decide within 7 working days.
8. Processing time
Approved refunds are issued through Cashfree to the original payment instrument:
- UPI & net-banking: typically 3–5 working days;
- Credit / debit card: typically 5–10 working days, depending on the card-issuing bank;
- Wallets: per the wallet's own policy.
Once we have initiated the refund from our end, the actual credit timeline is governed by the gateway and your bank. We will share the refund reference ID where available.
9. Chargebacks & disputes
Before raising a chargeback with your bank or card network, please write to us first — we are usually able to resolve genuine issues directly within a few days. Chargebacks raised without first contacting us, or after a refund has already been issued, may result in account suspension and recovery of any associated chargeback fees from you.
10. Important — mutual fund investments are separate
This Policy covers only the SaaS subscription fees you pay to TheWealthBuddy for software access (BillBuddy, MF AI, Salary, TDS). It does not cover mutual fund investments you make as a client of CA Harsh Jain in his capacity as an AMFI-registered Mutual Fund Distributor. Money invested in mutual fund schemes is governed entirely by the scheme's offer document, the AMC, and SEBI / AMFI regulations. Subscription/redemption, exit loads, and refunds in respect of fund units must be handled with the relevant AMC or RTA (CAMS / KFintech).
